26 year old Dixon Wagg clinched the win at Ha Tsepo today after a long breakaway. The breakaway launched at the 10km mark thinned out into three riders with Dixon Wagg out-sprinting his close competitor.
This is Dixon Wagg's first victory, with Wagg promising more victories to come. Wagg is looking like the team's next big star, taking his place beside Joseph Vandiver (33) as team captain. Vandiver is quoted to be especially impressed with Wagg's performance and also sees a very promising future for Wagg and for EasyGO.
EasyGO is working hard to edge back into Canada's top 10 teams. The team is having their best season yet, however, their best is not nearly enough, says team manager Andrew Yao. The team is facing cuts and may be releasing several riders. Yao concludes, "We sincerely hope that the sign of a reinvigorating rider may spearhead our way back into Canada's top teams and bring has back into Division F"
